The faithful are invited to take part in 24 Hours for the Lord, the Lenten observance called by Pope Francis and observed in dioceses around the world. Bishop O’Connell recently announced the Diocese of Trenton’s participation in 24 Hours for the Lord for the second consecutive year, and released a list of churches throughout Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties that will open their doors for 24 hours over March 29 and 30.
Sponsoring parishes are planning special devotions and the offering of sacraments for this observance, including Stations of the Cross, Confessions, Anointing of the Sick, Adoration and special prayers for peace.
