All teens and their families are invited to view a special screening and discussion of the 2018 feature film “Paul, Apostle of Christ.” 

Taking place during the Diocese of Trenton’s Year of Youth initiative, the screening will be hosted March 1 in the theater of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel, beginning at 7 p.m. with an introduction by Doug Tooke, direction of ministry for OBD Films. Tooke will share reflections and stories from the making of the movie, as well as lead a question-and-answer session. 

The movie is rated PG-13 – children younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent.

All young adults are invited to attend a day-long retreat entitled, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Holiness,” taking place March 9 in St. James Church, Red Bank. 

This retreat will examine what it means to have life in and through Christ and the Church, how the Sacraments provide liberation and how to pursue holiness in the 21st century. During the retreat, there will be opportunities for Confession and Eucharistic Adoration. 

Retreat presenter be Father Jason Hage of the Diocese of Syracuse, NY. Father Hage is pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton, N.Y., and pastor of St. Joan of Arc Mission, Morrisville, N.Y. He also works in the office of Vocation Promotion for the Diocese of Syracuse. 

The cost of the retreat is $15 which includes lunch. The retreat will end with the parish Mass at 5:30 p.m.
